Delhi : Buyers in India are willing to spend more to take home a more luxurious automobile because to the improving economy & increased income. Buyers now favour SUVs over hatchbacks and sedans, which is also demonstrated by the dramatic increase in demand for SUVs. Five sub-4 metre SUVs will be introduced in our market over the course of the next nine months.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx

In the upcoming two to three weeks, Maruti Suzuki will introduce the brand-new Fronx crossover to our market. The Baleno hatchback's supporting HEARTECT platform from Suzuki serves as the foundation for the new vehicle. It is essentially the Baleno's crossover version. The interior and features of the new model are shared with the hatchback's sister. 

There will be two petrol engines available for it: a 99bhp, 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo and an 89bhp, 1.2L 4-cylinder normally aspirated engine. The new Fronx crossover can be reserved by interested purchasers by paying a nominal fee of Rs 11,000 online or at authorised shops.

Suzuki Jimmy

The new Jimny 5-door lifestyle SUV from Maruti Suzuki is now available for purchase online or at NEXA outlets for a nominal fee of Rs 25,000. By May 2023, sales of the new model will begin. It will have a sturdy ladder-on-frame chassis and Suzuki's AllGrip Pro AWD system installed as standard. The new SUV has a 36° approach angle, a 50° departure angle, and a 24° break-over angle. 

It will be propelled by a 1.5-liter K15B gasoline engine with 103 horsepower and 134.2 pound-feet of torque. Both a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission are available.

New Tata Nexon

The new Nexon compact SUV is about to be introduced in the nation by Tata Motors. According to reports, the new model will allegedly begin serial production in July at the Ranjangaon factory, with the launch scheduled for August 2023. It will use design elements from the brand-new Curvv SUV Coupe concept that was showcased at the 2023 Motor Show. Inside the cabin, significant improvements will be made. A larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument panel, a larger sunroof, a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and other features will be included. 

A 1.2L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 125PS and 225Nm of torque will power it. Also anticipated for the new model is segment-first ADAS technology.

Toyota Taisor SUV

In 2023, Toyota will also release the rebadged Maruti Suzuki Fronx crossover, which will be similar to the Baleno-Glanza. The new SUV Coupe, which is rumoured to be dubbed the Taisor, is most likely to borrow some styling ideas from the Yaris Cross, which is offered in foreign markets. The Toyota Yaris Cross has actually already been seen testing on Indian roads numerous times. Two engine options will be available for the new model: a 1.2L NA petrol and a 1.0L turbo petrol.

Hyundai AI3 Micro SUV

By the holiday season of 2023, the Korean automaker Hyundai plans to introduce a new mini SUV to the market. The new Hyundai compact SUV, code-named Ai3, will compete with the Tata Punch. The new micro SUV, which will be positioned below the Venue, will be based on the Grand i10 Nios hatchback. It will probably be slightly longer than the standard model, with a wheelbase of about 3.7 to 3.8 metres. The most likely engine for the new model is a 1.2L 4-cylinder NA petrol unit with 81bhp and 114Nm of torque. The business might also sell a tiny SUV in CNG form. Options for manual and AMT gearboxes will be available.
