Range Rover Velar bookings open: Deliveries start September 2023
Delhi : Bookings for the Range Rover Velar have begun in India, according to JLR. The new Range Rover Velar is offered in Dynamic HSE trim with two powertrain options: a 2.0-litre petrol engine with 246 horsepower and 365 Nm torque and a 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine with 201 bhp and 420 Nm torque. JLR has not specified pricing, but the Velar will compete with the Porsche Macan and the Jaguar F Pace.
The luxury SUV has been upgraded with a new front grille, new Pixel LED headlights, and Dynamic Bend Lighting. JLR has also added two additional colour options. Metallic Varesine Blue and Premium Metallic Zadar Grey are available, with Deep Garnet and Caraway colour options for the inside.
The infotainment system is a curved 11.4-inch unit that is built into the dashboard. The Velar's luxuriousness is heightened with the noise cancelling feature. It muffles the outside sounds and makes the cabin even quieter. There is also an air purification system on board, which includes PM 2.5 filtration and CO2 management. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, as well as a wireless charger.
The Velar has electronic air suspension for ride comfort, and it may raise or lower the ride height by 40 mm when exiting or entering the SUV. This facilitates residents' access and egress. The Range Rover, being a Land Rover, includes the Terrain Response 2 system, which allows the driver to modify vehicle settings to fit the driving situation. Eco, Comfort, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Dynamic, and Automatic settings are available. Each modifies the engine, gearbox, all-wheel drive system, suspension, and stability control systems for improved traction and stability.
