Delhi : Tata Motors Tiago EV became one of the most well-liked vehicles on the Indian market after bookings surpassed 10,000 in a single day. The electric hatchback's first batch has begun to be delivered by Tata Motors. Tata will ship 2,000 units of the Tiago EV in the first batch.

Customers have been waiting a long time to get their hands on the Tata Tiago EV, which has now surpassed 20,000 bookings in the Indian market.

Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., commented on the affection and faith that his clients had for the Tiago.ev.

"The Tiago.ev was introduced with the intention of democratising the Indian EV industry and accelerating the adoption of EVs. We are pleased to inform that we are on the right track with this product, with cars being sold in 133 cities thanks to a strong sales network. The success we are celebrating today is the result of people's unwavering trust in this brand. We are still dedicated to our objective of giving clients the best service possible while assisting in making EVs accessible to everyone, even with a 38.6% YoY rise in EVs (as of January 2023)"

The first 10,000 people who ordered the automobile received an introduction model. However, because to an overwhelming reaction, Tata extended the tariffs to the first 20,000 consumers.

Tata Tiago.ev

The brand-new Tata Tiago EV has the same same appearance as the regular Tiago. The Tiago EV differs in appearance from the conventional model of the vehicle due to a few modifications. The Tata Tiago EV features blue accents and the EV emblem. Blue accents can be seen on the new Tiago EV's grille, side profile, and even alloy wheels.

The Ziptron technology that also powers vehicles like the Tata Tiago EV and Nexon EV is used to power the Tata Tiago EV. There are several battery packs available, each with a varied range. A 24 kWh battery pack offers a 315 km range that has been verified by MIDC. It should correspond to a 260 km practical range.  A 19.2 kWh battery pack that is less powerful is also offered. It has a 250 km MIDC-certified range, which translates to around 200 km of range.

The vehicle has two drive modes as well: City and Sport. There are four different levels of regeneration that can extend the range. With Z-Connect, the Tata Tiago EV will provide telematics. There are more than 65 functions, including smartwatch connectivity, remote geo-fencing, real-time charging status, and remote AC on/off.

Leatherette seats, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, auto-headlamps, electrically adjustable ORVMs, cruise control, and other features are also available from Tata. The top-end model of the car from Tata additionally comes with up to 8 speakers. There is no direct competition in the market for the brand-new Tata Tiago EV.
