Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts teased, booking window opens: Book your facelift on 6th october
Delhi : Tata Motors is preparing to debut heavily updated versions of its flagship SUVs, the Harrier and Safari, following the launch of the all-new, heavily-updated Nexon small SUV. The Indian carmaker teased the facelifted Harrier and Safari on social media and said that reservations for both SUVs would begin on October 6th, ahead of a probable unveiling before the Christmas season begins.
Tata Motors issued a quick teaser for the new Tata Harrier, revealing the outline of the revamped SUV's front aspect. According to the teaser, the new Harrier will have a linked LED bar between the daytime running LEDs on the corners, all of which will work together to produce a distinctive welcome display. The teaser also suggests that the LED projector headlights will have updated vertical housings.
The new Tata Harrier has been observed multiple times in recent months during testing, suggesting potentially slimmer LED tail lights with a connecting LED bar between them. While the side appearance is anticipated to stay virtually unaltered, the 2019 Harrier will have new 18-inch alloy wheels. The inside layout will be redesigned, with a next-generation full-TFT instrument console and the new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the previously introduced Nexon facelift expected.
In order to give viewers a clearer glimpse of the facelifted Safari's front aspect, Tata Motors published a crisper teaser of the vehicle. The new Tata Safari has a wider front grille than the previous model, an updated LED connecting light bar between the daytime running LEDs and redesigned vertical housings for the headlamps with LED projectors.
Unlike the present versions of the two SUVs, which feature a fairly similar front design, the Safari is anticipated to look a little bit different from the Harrier this time. The 2019 Tata Safari's rear design is also anticipated to get updated LED taillights with a stylish connecting LED light bar. Although the Safari will provide multiple upholstery options and both six and seven-seater configurations, unlike the five-seater Harrier, the redesigned interior layout and new-generation displays are anticipated to be shared with the Harrier.
The 2.0-liter diesel engine, which was modified earlier this year to comply with BS-6 stage-II pollution requirements, will still be powering both the extensively revised Harrier and Safari models. A new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which Tata Motors displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo, is also said to be a possibility.
