Delhi : The 4-door Sierra concept car from Tata Motors was recently on display at the 2023 Auto Expo. The new Tata Sierra will be made available to consumers in 2025, the business has said. Also confirmed by Tata Motors as coming to our market in 2024 are the Harrier EV and the Curvv SUV Coupe.

According to Tata Motors, the Sierra's final design will resemble the concept car's design almost exactly. It will be located above the Curvv SUV Coupe, measuring roughly 4.3 to 4.4 metres in length. As a standard option, the 2019 Tata Sierra will include a 5-seater setup. A four-seater lounge version will really be included with the top-spec vehicle.

Two captain seats that can be moved back and forward and reclined are included in the lounge variant.

Ambient mood lighting, a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver display, an electric sunroof, and an electrically adjustable driver seat are anticipated to be included in the production model. Tata Motors might include numerous USB ports, a centre armrest with cup holders, and an ottoman feature for the backseat passengers. Additional ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) features for the SUV include blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

The Gen 2 platform, also known as the SIGMA hybrid architecture, will serve as the foundation for the design and development of the new Tata Sierra SUV.

The ALFA modular platform, which supports the Altroz & the Punch, is essentially drastically modified in this. Both ICE and electric powertrains will be available for the SUV.

A new 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 170 horsepower and 285 Nm of torque is anticipated to power the petrol variant. There will be a standard 6-speed manual transmission available. A dual-clutch automatic transmission is another option (DCT). With a front-axle mounted electric motor and a 60kWh battery pack, the Tata Sierra electric version is most likely to be equipped. Another option for the Sierra EV is an AWD system with two electric motors positioned on the front and rear axles. It should have a single charge last for about 500 kilometres.
