Tata has introduced the Tiago EV, India's most affordable electric vehicle, with initial prices ranging from Rs. 8.49 lakh to Rs. 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom). With this, the Tiago is now available in three versions: gasoline, compressed natural gas, and electric.

Battery capacity power
The 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery pack options for the Tiago EV have respective claimed driving ranges of 250km and 315km. The Tiago EV can be charged from 10% to 80% using a DC fast charger in just 57 minutes. When a 7.2kW AC charger is used, it will take about three and a half hours to complete the same task, but the smaller battery only needs about 2.6 hours.
Charging cost of Tiago EV
Now, using the Bengaluru prices (fast charging CCS-2 Tata Power station) and claimed efficiencies, we have determined the daily operating costs of both models. As a result, the Tiago EV has a per-kilometer operating cost of about Rs. 1.4 as opposed to Rs. 5 for the petrol AMT.
Why Tiago EV version is much better than Tiago petrol version ?
The Tiago EV costs around Rs 2,100 per month to operate with an average daily mileage of 50 km, while the Tiago petrol AMT costs nearly four times as much.
