Delhi : Beginning in February, Samsung unveiled its newest line of flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S23 series. Three smartphones are available: the standard Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The South Korean tech giant announced new features with this series to improve the Galaxy S23 lineup's gaming performance. The "Pause USB Power Delivery" feature was also enabled by Samsung with its most recent line of high-end smartphones. This feature has reportedly been seen in models that are available in some regions, and it may support older smartphones.

Pause USB Power Delivery, what is that?

It is also referred to as the battery bypass feature and prevents the phone's battery from charging by sending power from the connected charger straight to the chipset. The phone's gaming performance is said to be enhanced by the Pause USB Power Delivery feature, which prevents the battery from warming up. This charging bypass feature can only be used while playing games and can be found in the Game Booster section of the Game Launcher app.

According to Samsung, this feature will also help to improve the smartphone's battery life. According to the company, the feature lowers the battery charge cycle when the phone is not being charged continuously in order to preserve the battery's health for a longer period of time.

This feature might be added to older Galaxy models.

Users have reportedly discovered the feature in some regions on older models like the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, and the Galaxy A73.

They noticed that, only users who have updated the Game Booster app to version 5.0.03.0 will see the gaming feature.

Additionally, the feature only functions with Samsung's 45W USB PD charger for some users. According to the report, even older models like the Galaxy S21 series had a toggle to turn on the battery bypass feature.

However, it's possible that only mid-range and high-end phones launched in 2022 and later will currently support this feature. According to the report, despite using a 45W charger, the feature didn't function on a Galaxy S21 Ultra. A blogger by the name of NL Tech was the first to notice this feature.
