Delhi : Tata Motors had a full 2023. To start, the carmaker impressed at the Auto Expo 2023 with concept models of the Avinya, Curvv, Harrier EV, and Sierra EV. With the release of the CNG variants of Altroz and Punch as well as the significantly upgraded Nexon, Nexon EV, Harrier, and Safari, Tata went on to further enhance the effect of the year. And now, Tata Motors is getting ready to introduce four brand-new models to its inventory in order to increase the effect of the approaching new year.

Tata Punch EV

The Punch EV, which has previously been spyed on during test drives many times this year, is currently being tested by Tata Motors. The Punch EV will be introduced by the carmaker in the first half of 2024. In contrast to the gasoline-powered model, the Punch EV will come equipped with extra features like full-TFT instrument console, sunroof, LED headlamps, all-wheel disc brakes, two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will also sport EV-specific design highlights like blue inserts and a closed grille. The Citroen eC3 will face direct competition from the Tata Punch EV, which is expected to be priced between Rs 12 and 15 lakh.

Tata Curvv

Tata has previously said that the Curvv concept-based SUV coupe would be available with all three of the following engine options: gasoline, diesel, and all-electric. The upcoming midsize SUV-coupe from Tata Motors will be positioned in the company's portfolio between the Harrier and Nexon, sharing a similar design with the Curvv concept.

The new 1.2-liter, 125 PS turbocharged petrol engine from the brand will be available for the Tata Curvv production model in addition to the 1.5-liter diesel and all-electric powertrain from the Nexon and Nexon EV extended range, respectively. There will be an equal number of gearbox options available as there is with the Nexon. This new SUV will have a distinctive appearance and will compete with midsize SUVs such as the Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Skoda Kushaq.

Tata Harrier EV

The production-ready Tata Harrier EV made its debut at the Auto Expo 2023, and if rumours about insider information are to be believed, the all-electric midsize EV will make its debut in the Indian auto market in 2024, just in time for the holidays. The new Tata Harrier EV will have EV-specific design highlights, similar to the Nexon EV, and it will share the same basic appearance, interior, and equipment list as the newly released Harrier with a diesel engine. With a 60kWh battery pack and a dual-motor arrangement, the Tata Harrier EV is expected to compete with electric SUVs such as the BYD Atto 3 and the soon-to-be-released Mahindra XUV.e8.

Tata Altroz facelift

The only significant changes to the Tata Altroz luxury hatchback since its 2019 premiere have been the addition of additional versions, powertrains and gearbox choices. But Tata Motors is going to give the Altroz hatchback a thorough makeover. This update will include new features including a bigger touchscreen infotainment system and a full-TFT instrument dashboard, as well as modifications to the hatchback's design and interior. With the modifications expected to make it an even more attractive alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai i20, the redesigned Tata Altroz is expected to keep its petrol and diesel engine options.
