Delhi : Triumph has teased a new motorbike and stated that it would be internationally launched on January 9, 2024, thus it appears like a legendary bike is making a comeback. Based on the teaser image gallery, we believe it will be a completely redesigned Triumph Daytona 660.

Why is Daytona important? because a supersport bike can be seen in the teaser's motorbike silhouette. Furthermore, why 660? because the number "660" is visible in one of the pictures on the lower portion of the motorcycle's fairing. It will thus be powered by the same 660cc, in-line, three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the Tiger Sport 660 and the Trident 660. It generates 64 Nm and 81 PS on both motorcycles. Triumph may adjust the engine tune to better fit the bike's personality if the bike were truly called the Daytona.

The 660cc supersport, which was hinted at a few months ago, appears to have slightly more comfortable ergonomics and be more of a sports tourer than a dedicated track day machine, similar to the previous generation Daytonas. This is based on the riding position seen in the pictures. It also appears more likely to transition given that it will have the same engine as a roadster and adventure bike. This would further enable the brand to attract a broader range of consumers as they provide a pleasing blend of daily utility and adventurous riding.

As previously mentioned, the Triumph Daytona 660 will make its world premiere on January 9 and we anticipate that it will retail for about GBP 9,500 (roughly Rs 10 lakh). In the UK, the prices of the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660 are GBP 7,895 (roughly Rs 8.38 lakh) and GBP 8,945 (approx Rs 9.46 lakh), respectively. Anticipate the bike's Indian introduction in early 2024; it may be priced at about Rs 10 lakh. It will face competition from the Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650, Aprilia RS 660, and the soon-to-be Yamaha R7.
