New Delhi : Maruti Suzuki remains the first choice of many new car buyers of a hatchback segment. So far, Alto and Swift used to lead the charts in terms of sales figures but things have now changed and their spot has been taken away by a CNG car; and it is none other than Maruti Suzuki's Wagon R.

The tall-boy design hatchback WagonR is among the CNG cars which is marking a remarkable sales figure in Indian car market. The prime reason behind people liking it is its low-maintenance cost, better mileage and spacious interior that can easily fit five people and still leave you with ample room in the boot space to carry luggage.

The company claims a remarkable mileage of 34.5 km per kg on CNG.

Talking about the sales figures, in April 2022, the company sold 17,766 new WagonR cars, on the other hand Alto scored 10,443 sales and Swift managed only 8,898 units.

Why people are inclined towards WagonR?

WagonR comes at an attractive price point of Rs 5.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and in this price it offers a brilliant space, good mileage and a reliable CNG engine that is company fitted. To attract more people, the company has also launched a dual tone colour option of the car, making it more sportier.
