New Delhi : Maruti Suzuki is working on new cars to boost their sales figures in the coming days. The new products are mostly facelifts of already hit cars in the market. Here is the list of upcoming cars.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio
Celerio had been one of the most economical spacious product from the company and now a facelift will be launched for the car in coming days. It has been learned that the design of the car will also be promoted. The new Celerio will come out with a 1.0-liter petrol engine naturally producing 67 PS of maximum power and 90 Nm of torque. The engine will be equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.
It is expected that the new car will be launched in April 2021.
Alto 800
The company will be launching a facelift of its cheapest car currently Alto 800. The new car will be powered with the same 800 cc engine that produces 47 ps of power and peak torque of 69 nm. The car will also come with S-CNG option that will produce 41 ps of power and 60 nm of torque. It is expected to be launched during a festive season.
XL5
The company is also planning to upgrade its WagonR model with the name XL5, which will retain its tall body design. The new interior will be fitted with better plastics and features to give it more premium look. The car will be made available through its Nexa dealerships. It is expected to enter Indian markets in the 3rd quarter of 2021.
New Vitara Brezza
It is one of the most successful compact SUVs in the market and Maruti is planning to upgrade it with all new features. The new version with 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6 speed torque converter automatic gear box is expected to hit the Indian soil by the end of 2021.
Jimny
Maruti Suzuki is testing Jimny with rear seats which will have more leg space than the current model of Jimny. Jimny will be powered by 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine and will offer a four-wheeler drive. It is expected to launch in India in June 2022.
Baleno Size SUV
Maruti Suzuki is attempting to make an affordable and compact model of SUV for Indian buyers. However it has Vitara Brezza in the market, but considering its prices, the company is planning an affordable option. The new SUV is expected to launch early next year.
S-Cross replacement
Maruti Suzuki is working with Toyota to develop new SUV which will be replacing the ageing S-Cross.The new SUV will be rebadged as Toyota just like Urban Cruiser and Glanza. The new SUV will be launched in 2022.
