Delhi : After a brief absence, Toyota has re-released the Innova Crysta in the Indian market. The well-liked MPV will now be accessible exclusively in diesel form. However, the 2023 MG Hector Plus has emerged as a fresh rival for the defending champion.

Visually, the Toyota Innova Crysta is more inviting

The Toyota Innova Crysta has a powerful bonnet, a multi-slat grille ringed by chrome, swept-back projector LED headlights, wrap-around taillights, flared wheel arches, a roof-mounted spoiler, a shark-fin antenna, and stylish 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

The exterior of the MG Hector Plus has a clamshell bonnet, a sizable grille covered in chrome, split-type LED headlights positioned on the bumper, silvered skid plates, ORVMs mounted on indicators, roof rails, flared wheel arches, and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

More engine choices for the MG Hector Plus

The 2.4-liter diesel engine that powers the Toyota Innova Crysta produces a maximum of 148 horsepower and a maximum torque of 343 Nm. The engine is connected to a 5-speed manual transmission.

A 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine, both producing 141 horsepower and 350 Newton metres of torque, combine to power the MG Hector Plus. A 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox is in charge of the transmission.

Automatic temperature control and several airbags are features of both MPVs.

A powered driver's seat, automatic temperature control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and seven airbags are all standard in the Toyota Innova Crysta's roomy seven/eight-seater interior.

A multi-zone temperature control system, a 14.0-inch HD interface display, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, an all-black dashboard, leather upholstery in a beige tone, several airbags, and a six- or seven-seater interior are included in the MG Hector Plus.

Which should you purchase?

The 2023 MG Hector Plus may be purchased in India for between Rs. 17.49 lakh and Rs. 22.43 lakh, whereas we anticipate the Toyota Innova Crysta will cost approximately Rs (all prices, ex-showroom).

We believe the Toyota Innova Crysta makes more sense because to its durable construction, roomy interior, and dependable diesel engine, which make it a value for the money.
