Delhi : Apple, a global leader in technology, has stated that starting on February 13, 2023, rates for apps and in-app purchases (except from automatically renewing subscriptions) would increase in the UK, Colombia, Egypt, Hungary, Nigeria, Norway, and South Africa. However, as a result of the value-added tax rate dropping from 15% to12%, prices will be lower in Uzbekistan.

According to changes in taxes and exchange rates, the tech giant periodically updates pricing on the App Store in some locations.

In order to maintain consistency in pricing for applications and in-app purchases across all storefronts, it said, "this is done using publicly accessible exchange rate information from financial data sources." The iPhone manufacturer also stated that although the App Store's prices would remain the same in Ireland, Luxembourg, Singapore, and Zimbabwe, the revenues will be modified to reflect the tax changes. Additionally, local developers selling in Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Tajikistan, Thailand, and Uzbekistan will experience an increase in earnings by the end of this month.

Additionally, the tech giant added, "As previously announced, upgraded pricing capabilities for apps and in-app purchases will be available in spring 2023, providing you with 700 additional price points and more flexibility to set prices per storefront, so you can manage foreign exchange rate changes independently of globally equalized prices."
