What's happening with MG Hector's pricing? Catch up on the third hike this year
Delhi : For the third time in a year, MG Motor has increased the pricing of its well-liked Hector and Hector Plus SUVs in India. The best-selling models of the British manufacturer owned by China would witness a rise of up to ₹40,000 in this latest hike, which comes only three months after the August adjustment.
MG Motor debuted the 2023 Hector at the Auto Expo in January, with a starting price of ₹14.73 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hector Plus SUV debuted concurrently, at ₹20.80 lakh (ex-showroom). There are six distinct configurations for the Hector SUV, which comes in both petrol and diesel versions: Style, Shine, Smart, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro.
The Hector SUV's starting price has been adjusted to ₹15 lakh, while the top-of-the-line Savvy Pro model is now ₹22 lakh (ex-showroom). There are two different seating arrangements for the MG Hector Plus SUV: six and seven seats. Now, the top-end model of the six-seater variation costs ₹22.73 lakh (ex-showroom), while the base model costs ₹20.45 lakh. Following the current modification, the seven-seat version's price is still the same.
The Hector SUV's gasoline and diesel versions have both seen price increases in recent times. The increase in price for gasoline models is between ₹27,000 and ₹35,000, while for diesel versions, it is between ₹30,000 and ₹40,000. The Smart Pro version with the diesel engine exhibits the most rise.
New front styling for the 2023 MG Hector and Hector Plus was shown. Level 2 ADAS technology and a new, largest-in-class 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system are among the notable improvements. MG Motor continues to utilize the same 1.5-liter gasoline, 1.5-liter gasoline hybrid, and 2.0-liter diesel engines under the hood. Options for transmissions include both automatic and 6-speed manual gearboxes.
