Xiaomi India donates 1,000 masks and 1,000 sanitizers across Delhi

New Delhi : As a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Xiaomi India has donated 1,000 masks and 1,000 bottles of sanitizers across Delhi. The company has donated these Covid essentials to frontline warriors including policemen, hospital staff, municipal employees and journalists. 

This is not the first time company is donating to India's Covid relief efforts. Earlier also the company had donated 1,000 oxygen concentrators worth Rs 3 crore to aid India's coronavirus battle. 

"Xiaomi cares about the front line warriors and their unconditional services to the masses is parallel to nothing. In the midst of this pandemic when they are working for us 24x7 tirelessly the MI team decided to distribute protective masks and sanitizer bottles to Policemen, Hospital Staff, Municipal employees across Delhi city," said  Xiaomi's marketing team. 

Hyder Ali, a journalist based in Delhi said that Xiaomi's noble deed should be followed by other corporate companies operating in India. 

"Journalists are also frontline warriors. However, the efforts of journalists during these pandemic times often go unnoticed. As a person in the journalistic community, I am pretty happy about the fact that Xiaomi has realized the efforts of journalists," said Ali.
