Budget 2022: When and where to watch Nirmala Sitharaman's speech

New Delhi : Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2022 at 11 am on February 1, 2022. This will be her fourth budget presentation. She will once again present a paperless budget due to coronavirus.

It is expected that in the budget government will try to boost the jobs and revive investment for economic growth. The economy is set to grow at healthy 8-8.5% in 2022-23 fiscal.

The budget presentation can be watched live on Lok Sabha, PIB, DD News TV channels. People can also watch the budget on news channels and YouTube.

After presenting the budget, Nirmala Sitharaman will have an interaction with the media to answer budget related questions.

With a goal to reach a $5-trillion economy by FY25, capital expenditure allocation is expected to continue to remain higher in this Budget as well.

To boost domestic manufacturing, the finance minister may also touch upon the government's Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI). The Finance Minister might keep a higher allocation towards roads, railways, and water to boost infrastructure. Measures to support small businesses and the rural economy are also likely to form part of the Budget.

There are very few chances of giving more relaxation in income tax rates.
