Maha Ashtami 2022: Are banks near you open today?
New Delhi : Navratri festival is going on and on Maha Ashtami banks are scheduled to remain closed. The Reserve Bank of India's holiday list shows that the banks will remain shut for seven straight days in some cities from Monday.
Since it's Maha Ashtami on Monday, the holiday may vary from place to place following is the list of states where the banks will remain closed from October 3 and October 4.

Bank holiday on October 5 (Dussehra)
Except for Imphal, banks in all other states and cities will remain closed on October 5. The RBI has already issued a schedule of bank holidays for October 2022. Each year, the RBI categorises bank holidays into three categories: Negotiable Instruments Act Holiday, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
