New Delhi : The RRB Recruitment 2018 last date to apply for government job comes to a close tomorrow. As per the RRB recruitment board notification,the last date for application of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician posts along with 62,509 Group D posts is March 31, 2018.

Interested candidates can apply for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Group D posts on the official website, www.indianrailways.gov.in.The total 90,000 vacancies in the Indian Railways that need to be applied for on before March 31.

As per media reports, more than 25 million candidates have applied for 89409 posts advertised. RRB has advertised for recruitment after four years. RRB ALP & Technician Recruitment 2018 will be held in two stages followed by Aptitude Test (if applicable) and Document Verification. First Stage CBT is scheduled to be held in the month of April and May 2018.

Educational Qualification for Asst Loco Pilot & Technician Posts

Similarly, for Group C Level 2 posts, the upper age limit for all communities have been raised by two years. For unreserved community, it is now 30 years, for OBC, it is 33 years and for the SC/ST communities, it is now 35 years.

Formal corrigendum is being issued on official websites of RRBs shortly along with the new last date of submission of application, said the press release.

This recruitment drive is open for candidates who have passed Class 10 and industrial training ITI for Group C Level I posts, and Class 10 and ITI or diploma in engineering or a graduation in engineering for Group C Level II posts.

RRB Recruitment 2018 examination Process

The examination pattern for Railway group D has two stages, such as, CBT (Computer-Based Test) which is followed by PET (Physical Efficiency Test) — RRB Group D exam pattern 2018, RRB Computer-Based Test.

During this stage, the question asked will be of Mathematics, General intelligence and reasoning, General Science and General Awareness on current Affairs. There will be 100 questions in total and the time limit will be 90 minutes.

RRB Recruitment Physical Efficiency Test

It’s compulsory for the candidate to clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the eligibility criteria differ for male and female candidates.

For Male candidates

Candidate should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for the distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one go without putting the weight down. Candidate should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one go.

For Female candidates

Female candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down. Candidate should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
