New Delhi : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be announcing dates for the re-examination of class 10th Maths paper and Class 12th Economics paper  by Monday or Tuesday, Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar said on Thursday, in the wake of CBSE paper leaks.

The authorities are currently probing class 12 Economics and Class 10th Maths paper leak, the re-examination dates for the same will be declared soon on the official website.

CBSE on Wednesday issued a circular stating that it would conduct a re-examination of class 10 Maths paper and class 12 Economics. The decision comes in wake of reports claiming leak of mathematics and economics paper.

The Delhi Police, on the other hand, has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the class 10 Maths and class 12 Economics question paper leak. It has so far questioned at least 25 people, mostly students, in connection with the paper leak.

"The SIT is headed by Joint Commissioner Alok Kumar. It will also have DCP and ACP rank officers conducting the probe," Special Commissioner of Police R.P. Upadhayay told IANS.

More than 28 lakh students have been affected by CBSE decision on Wednesday to re-conduct examination for two papers of Class X and XII.

As per the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), a total of 16,38,428 and 11,86,306 students had registered for examination this year for Class X and Class XII respectively.
