CBSE Paper Leak: Two private school teachers, one tutor arrested

New Delhi : Two teachers from a private school and a tutor have been arrested for involvement in the leak of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 economics question paper, police said on Sunday.

Rishabh and Rohit were identified as teachers of mathematics and physics respectively at Mother Khazani Convent School at Bawana.

"They passed on the paper to Tauqeer, who runs a coaching centre. He spread it among his students," Delhi Special Commissioner (Crime) R.P. Upadhyay said.

He said a hand-written paper was leaked a day before the examination. Later, a picture of the question paper went viral half hour before the exam.

Upadhyay said the two teachers opened the question paper at the exam centre 30 minutes before the commencement time. They sent it to Tauqeer, who forwarded it to his students over WhatsApp.

"About 915 students opened the picture they received on various groups on WhatsApp," he said.

The CBSE has said the Class 12 economics test would be held on April 25 following the question paper leak.
