NEET Admit Card 2020: Over 4 lakh candidates download hall tickets in less than 3 hours

New Delhi : The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday released the admit cards for upcoming NEET 2020 examinations and within 3 hours more than 4 lakh hall tickets were downloaded from the official website, said a report.

The NEET 2020 examination has been slated for September 13 this year.

On Tuesday, NTA had announced the guidelines for the students appearing for the examination and mandatory precautions they need to take during the exam conduct.

Despite several demands and proposed protests to suspend the examination for a couple of months, the NTA officially announced that the examinations will be conducted as per the recently announced schedule in September. It notified that the decision has been taken considering the safety of the appearing students.

Informing about the steps taken, the NTA said the number of NEET centres has been increased from 2546 to 3843. NEET UG will be held in pen paper mode.

The number of NEET candidates sitting in each room has also been reduced from earlier 24 to 12 now, while in JEE Mains exam, candidates will be seated in alternate seats.

On August 17, NTA had released the admit cards for JEE 2020 examination and over 85% of the candidates have already downloaded it. JEE Mains is scheduled to be held between September 1 and 6. Over 9.5 lakh candidates are registered for JEE Mains exam.
