Rahul Gandhi slams Narendra Modi govt over no concrete plan on coronavirus vaccine

New Delhi : Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday slammed Narendra Modi and his government for not having a vaccine or a concrete plan for the same to fight against coronavirus that has infected more than 3 million people in India.

"A fair and inclusive Covid vaccine access strategy should have been in place by now. But there are still no signs of it. GOI’s unpreparedness is alarming," Gandhi tweeted.


His latest attack comes a day after he targeted BJP over the financial crisis being faced by the poor section of India. Gandhi had said on Twitter that “distractions through media will not help the poor”.

“RBI has now confirmed what I have been warning for months,” the Wayanad MP tweeted on Wednesday morning along with a news report.

The Congress leader also provided few suggestions to the government which includes “Government needs to: Spend more, not lend more. Give money to the poor, not tax cuts to industrialists. Restart economy by consumption.”

Meanwhile, India has three Covid-19 vaccines running in different phases of human trials. And PM Modi in his 15 August address had said that they are ready and prepared with all arrangements, as soon as they get go ahead from researchers, the vaccine will be produced massively and reach all of the Indians.
