New Delhi : As a precaution measure of coronavirus, the Delhi government has announced that the primary schools will remain closed till March 31. All Delhi government, aided and private schools will be shut immediately, said state Education Minister Manish Sisodia.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted that the move and claimed that the aim is to prevent the "possibility of spreading of COVID-19"

As per latest figures, India has a officially registered 30 positive cases of coronavirus, including 16 Italian tourists.

Amid rising number of coronavirus cases, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday cancelled his visit to the Brussels for an India-European Union (EU) summit.

Yesterday PM Modi had tweeted, "Experts across the world have advised to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Hence, this year, I have decided not to participate in any Holi Milan programme."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also tweeted an appeal to "everyone to avoid public gatherings" and said that he, too, would not participate in any Holi events.
