New Delhi : The Indian Railway Recruitment Board has announced the date of RRB Group D exam 2018. The exam for RRB recruitment 2018 will be held from 17th September and aspirants must start their final revision. To remind, all we have decided to give a snippet of the RRB Group D exam syllabus so that candidates can re-check their preparation and note the minute part, if left out.

RRB Group D exam 2018 syllabus, you should know

  • RRB Group D exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
  • There will be 55 questions from Maths & Reasoning topic and 45 questions from General Science, GK & Current Affairs topic.
  • The total duration of Computer based test will be 90 minutes.
  • There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices.

Weightage: 4-5 Qs

Topics: Tabular Graph, Pie Chart, Line Graph, Bar Graph.

Topics: Identities, Linear Equation in 1 Variable, Linear Equation in 2 Variable, Quadratic Equation, Polynomials, Unit digit, Linear inequalities and Functions

Weightage: 2-3 Qs

Topics: Calculation-oriented basic percentage.

Number System

Weightage: 2-3 Qs

Topics: LCM and HCF, Divisibility and Remainder, Integers and Rational and Irrational numbers

RRB Group D Syllabus for General Awareness

The general science subject includes questions from Physics, Chemistry & Life Science of 10th standard level. These questions basically test your knowledge of everyday observation and experience in scientific aspect.

This subject holds weightage of 23- 25 marks. The Qs will be related to Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Astronomy and Space Technology, Computers and Mobile Technology, Inventions and Discoveries, Nutrition, Military Technology, Diseases etc.
