ICSE results 2018 out: Mumbai boy tops ICSE exam held across India

New Delhi : The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the results at around 3pm on May 14. Swayam Das from St. Mary’s ICSE School in Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai, topped the Class 10 exams with 99.4%.

Interestingly, seven of the 13 toppers in the Class 10 Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (ICSE) exams and six of the 49 toppers in the Class 12 Indian School Certificate (ISC) exams are from Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The topper list includes students in the first, second and third position. Anokhi Mehta from Jamnabai Narsee School, Juhu, who got 99.2%, shares the second rank with another student. Four other students from MMR scored 99%, and share the third rank with six other students.

Abhijnan Chakraborty from Lilavatibai Podar School, Santacruz, and Tansa Shah from Cathedral and John Connon School, Fort, stood first in the ISC exams, scoring 99.5%, along with six other students.

Priya Khajanchi and Rakshita Deshmukh, again from Podar school, share the second rank with 15 other students all of whom got 99.25%.

Both Akanksha Gupta from Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, and Rewati Shitole from Thane’s Sulochanadevi Singhania School scored 99%, ranking third on the list along with 23 others.

This year, around 81,000 students appeared for ISC exams and around 1.84 lakh students took the class 10 ICSE board exams.

The 10th class ICSE board exams were conducted between February 26 and April 12, and ISC board exams for 12th class students were organized from February 7 to April 4.
