Mumbai : Actor Amitabh Bachchan has officially announced that he has been injured in an accident on the sets of his upcoming movie 'Project K' in Hyderabad. He announced the news on his official blog post and mentioned that he is fine and taking rest at 'Jalsa'. Writing about it on his blog on Tumblr, he mentioned that the scans were done immediately, he is feeling pain but also hopes normalisation in a few weeks.

Mr Bachchan said that he has postponed his commitments for now and is focusing on healing. He will be seen sharing the screen with Deepika Padukone and Prabhas in the movie Project K. Bachchan further wrote that he can move a bit but has been asked to lie down more.

Read his full post: “In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured .. rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage .. canceled shoot .. did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home .. strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur .. some medication is on also for pain .. So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs ..

I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities .. but yes in rest and generally lying around ..

It shall be difficult or let me say .. I shall be unable to meet, the well-wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening .. so do not come .. and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming ..

Mr Bachchan is among the most loved actors in Bollywood. He has been working in the industry for more than 44 years now. He has done more than 200 movies and has featured in several TV shows. We wish him a speedy recovery.
