Anushka Sharma's emotional note after Virat Kohli's 'best performance'

New Delhi : India on Sunday started its T20 World Cup journey with win against their arch-rival Pakistan, Virat Kohli played his best ever innings at a time when the team needed it the most. He scored brilliant 82 runs and took his side to a miraculous win. His wife Anushka Sharma also praised him for his performance and wrote an emotional note on social media.

"You beauty! You freaking beauty!! You have brought sooooo much joy in peoples lives tonight and that too on the eve of Diwali," Anushka Sharma wrote on Instagram after Team India won the game on Sunday.

In the post she also mentioned that this was the best match ever she watched. 

"I have just watched the best match of my life I can say and although our daughter is too small to understand why her mother was dancing around and screaming wildly in the room, one day she will understand that her dad played his best innings that night which followed after a phase that was tough on him but he came out of it stronger and wiser than ever before!" she wrote.

In the game, Pakistan lost the toss and was asked to bat first. They scored 159 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. In reply, India lost 4 quick wickets for 31 runs and were in immense pressure to pull the game off. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya played the brilliant knocks to take their side to victory.

India needing 16 off the final over from a nervous Mohammad Nawaz, who peppered it with wides and no-balls to help them to their target.
