Bumper start for Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi on Box Office

New Delhi : Alia Bhatt's latest movie Gangubai Kathiawadi is looking towards Rs 40-crore opening weekend as people have thronged the cinema halls after coronavirus pandemic third wave. 

On the opening day, the movie had earned Rs 10.5 crores and saw and exponential growth in the later days.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has calculated a projection of Rs 40 crores for Gangubai Kathiawadi in the opening weekend Box Office collections.

He wrote on Twitter: "#GangubaiKathiawadi SOLID SATURDAY Eyes 40 cr [+/-] total in its *opening weekend* in #India #GangubaiKathiawadi (flower) nahin, (fire) hain (sic)"

Other than Alia Bhatt, the movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Parth Samthaan, Shantanu Maheshwari and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles. The movie has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
