New Delhi : Actress Divya Dutta, who had lend her voice in the latest Tanishq ad that has been taken down due to its controversial content, reacted on the controversy and said that she is sad about the fact that a powerful ad has been taken off-air.

She replied to a fan's query over the voice-over in the ad. Check out the tweet below:

On October 12, the Twitter was flooded with #BoycottTanishq tweets. The latest ad from the jewellery brand showed an inter-religion marriage and godh-bharai (baby shower) ceremony. People on social media claimed that the ad was nothing but a promotion of 'love Jihad'. Soon after the social media storm, the company decided to take the ad off.

Divya Dutta replied to another user who said that the messaging in the ad was 'wrong'. The actor wrote, "But sir don’t we all promote brotherhood?? We as India are all about that. That’s our soul sir. Unity in diversity bachpan mein sunte the. Aise to kitne ads hote the. Koi kuch nai kehta tha.. par chalein sabke apne vichar! (We have been hearing about Unity in Diversity since childhood. There have been a number of ads like this one before but nobody said anything about them. But to each his own)".
