Drugs-on-cruise case: Aryan Khan returns home 4-week after his arrest
Mumbai : Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan moved out of jail approximately four weeks after he was detained by the NCB over his alleged connection in a drugs case. Bombay High Court had granted him bail on Thursday but he had to spend two extra nights in jail due to official paper work.
Around 11 am, surrounded by security men, the star's son got into a waiting white Range Rover and was driven away, ending days of speculation behind his release.
Arthur Road jail officials were seen taking out bail papers from the "bail box" in the early hours of the morning, setting off the process for the star son's release.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s supporters and fans have been crowding outside Mannat to get a glimpse of his son. Some of them were seen carrying poster - "Welcome Home, Aryan."
Mukul Rohatgi, former Attorney General of India, fought for Aryan Khan's bail in the High Court for three days.
Actor Juhi Chawla, Shah Rukh Khan's co-star in the early days of his film career, signed the ₹ 1 lakh bail bond for Aryan Khan.
Aryan Khan was taken into custody on October 3, hours after drug raids on a cruise ship party by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). He has been kept inside Arthur jail since then and his bail has been denied twice since then.
