'Gadar 2': Sunny Deol back in action, this time with a hammer

New Delhi : 22 years ago, Sunny Deol had released a movie with name 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha'; And it had actually created gadar, which in English means riots, among the fans to watch the movie for its brilliant plot and action sequences. Now, cut to today, the actor has released a poster of the sequel of the movie with the name 'Gadar 2'.

On the occasion of January 26, the Republic Day, Sunny Deol has shared the first poster of his upcoming movie 'Gadar 2'. In the poster, he looks fierce and aggressive as he holds a giant hammer in his hand. He is seen in a turban-clad look and wearing green kurta-pyjama.

Sharing the poster with fans on social media, Sunny Deol wrote a famous dialogue from the prequel of the film - "Hindustan Zindabaad Hai... Zindabaad Tha... Aur Zindabaad Rahega!" He added, "This Independence Day, we bring to you the biggest sequel in Indian cinema after two decades. #Gadar2 releasing in Cinemas on 11th August 2023." Towards the end, he wished his fans, "#HappyRepublicDay".

Directed by Anil Sharma, and produced by Zee Studios, 'Gadar 2' stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles. The sequel also stars Luv Sinha, Simrat Kaur, Manish Wadhwa and Gaurav Chopra in pivotal roles.

Gadar 2 has been scheduled to release in theatres on August 11th, 2023.
