Glimpse: Madhuri Dixit recreates Madhubala's iconic song

Mumbai : When it comes to cinema talks, Madhubala is one name that swirls the magic of love and beauty in almost every mind. Back in 1960, when Mughal-e-Azam was released she turned out to be a desire of many.

Now in 2018, another iconic actress Madhuri Dixit is going to recreate the magic spread by Madhubala on the small screens.

According to a media report, dancing queen Madhuri Dixit will be performing on Mohe Panghat Pe Nandlal Chhed Gayo Re in an upcoming episode of Dance Deewane.

She posted a picture on Twitter and captioned it “Retro feels today on #DanceDeewane”. Dressed in an orange and silver embroidered lehenga, a maroon coloured choli, jewellery matching those that Madhubala wore in the iconic song (notice the heavy mang tikka), Madhuri is all-smiles at the camera.

Makeup artist Mickey Contractor also shared a black-and-white picture of Madhuri in the Mughal-e-Azam get up and wrote: “The gorgeous gorgeous Madhuri Dixit for Dance Deewane in a retro avatar.”

Apart from small screen, Madhuri Dixit currently have two big movies in her kitty. These include Kalank, a Karan Johar presentation with an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan among others and Total Dhamaal, an Indra Kumar production (with whom she has done a number of films in the past) with Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Esha Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaffrey.
