Kabir Singh Box Office Collection: Shahid Kapoor's movie crosses Rs 100-crore-mark in 5 days

Mumbai : Shahid Kapoor's latest release Kabir Singh is unstoppable on the Box Office; the film has crossed Rs 100-crore mark in just five days. Directed by Sandeep Vanga, Kabir Singh also stars Kiara Advani in a pivotal role.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said that the film earned Rs 16.5 crore on Tuesday, taking the total to Rs 104 crore. Kabir Singh had released amid rage reviews from both the audiences and critics.

“The overwhelming success of Kabir Singh has left the industry shocked and stunned,” he wrote. “All calculations have gone for a toss.”

Comparing with the releases of 2019 to cross the Rs 100-crore-mark, Taran Adarsh wrote that Kabir Singh accomplished the feat faster than Akshay Kumar’s Kesari (7 days), Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy (8 days) and the ensemble comedy Total Dhamaal (9 days). Only one movie crossed the mark quicker: Salman Khan’s Bharat, in four days, but in over 1000 more theatres than Kabir Singh.

Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh had been breaking records ever since it released on the big screens. After becoming the top opener for Shahid Kapoor and top non-holiday opening film of 2019 with Rs 20 crore, the movie broke the record for the biggest Sunday numbers of the year. Toppling Salman Khan’s Bharat by Rs 2 crore, Kabir Singh made close to Rs 28 crore.
