Mumbai Police grills Anurag Kashyap over rape allegations

Mumbai : Mumbai Police had issued a summon to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and he arrived at Versova Police Station earlier this morning. He has been called for questioning in a rape case filed against him.

A couple of days back, Anurag Kashyap had called the allegations 'baseless', claiming that he will initiate legal action against the girl who filed such FIR.

His lawyer Priyanka Khimani was also present in the police station.

The summon was issued to Anurag Kashyap after the girl reached out Maharashtra Governor BS Koshyari along with Rajya Sabha MP and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale to demand an instant arrest of the filmmaker.

The actress had questioned an unexplained delay in his arrest and had warned of going on a hunger strike if her demands are not met.

On Monday, while addressing the media with Minister Athawale, the actor had said she is facing a threat to her life and demanded Y-plus security.

Recently, she had filed an FIR against Anurag Kashyap in which she claimed that the director tried to force himself on her in 2013.
