New Delhi : Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Sharma made headlines today by opting for bike rides instead of their cars to commute to work, aiming to avoid the heavy traffic in Mumbai. While Big B was the first one to announce his action on social media, Anushka, who followed him, was clicked by the paparazzi.

However, some users expressed their concern as neither of them nor their riders were wearing helmets. Netizens voiced their objections and even tagged Mumbai Police to bring attention to the matter. In response, the police acknowledged the tweet and stated, "We have shared this with the traffic branch. @MTPHereToHelp."

Earlier on Monday, Amitabh Bachchan shared a photo on Instagram where he can be seen taking a bike ride with an unidentified person. He expressed his gratitude to the individual for giving him a ride and helping him reach his work location on time, avoiding the usual traffic congestion. Amitabh Bachchan mentioned the person's attire, referring to them as the owner of a cap, shorts, and a yellowed T-shirt.

Later in the evening, a video of Anushka Sharma sitting on the pillion seat of a bike without wearing a helmet became viral on social media.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in the upcoming movie Project K along with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. On the other hand, Anushka is making her comeback this year with Chakda Xpress. The film, a biopic is based on the journey of cricketer Jhulan Goswami, is directed by Prosit Roy.
