Mumbai : Mumbai Police will be providing police protection to actor Rhea Chakraborty whenever she will travel from her residence to DRDO guest house for questioning. This is being done on the request of Central Bureau of Investigation, said a Mumbai Police official.

On Thursday, Rhea Chakraborty had tweeted a video of his father getting mobbed by the media persons as she tried to enter the building of his residence.

She had claimed threat to her life and sought police protection.

"This is inside my building compound, The man in this video is my father Indrajit Chakraborty (retired army officer). We have been trying to get out of our house to cooperate with ED , CBI and various investigation authorities to cooperate," Ms Chakraborty wrote, along with the video shot from what appears to be a grilled window upstairs.

"There is a threat to my life and my family's life," Ms Chakraborty, 28, wrote, adding that the family has not received help from the police.

Sushant Singh Rajput's family has alleged Rhea Chakraborty of creating mental pressure and doing financial transactions from the actor's account.

CBI is investigating the matter after Supreme Court handed them over the case recently.
