Ranveer Singh starrer Kapil Dev's biopic '83' release date out

Mumbai : Kabir Khan had recently announced that he will be making a biopic on legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, starring Ranveer Singh in the title role. The upcoming movie has been titled as '83'.

In a new development, the makers have announced the release date of the film, shooting for which is expected to begin from mid-2018. 

The biopic will be based on the life of former Indian Cricketer Kapil Dev, will capture Indian cricket team’s journey as they lifted their first ever World Cup in 1983. It will be a story of 14 men who believed that they can and they did to lift the world cup. The winning squad comprised Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, Sunil Gavaskar, Kirti Azad, Yashpal Sharma, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Roger Binny, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Sandeep Patil, Syed Kirmani, Madan Lal, Ravi Shastri, Dilip Vengsarkar & Sunil Valson, and their manager P R Man Singh. 

Helmed by Kabir Khan and bankrolled by Phantom Films, Vishnu Vardhan Induri of Vibri Media, Reliance Entertainment and Kabir Khan Films, it has been scheduled to release on April 10, 2020.
