Sidharth Malhotra slammed for social media tweet
New Delhi : Sidharth Malhotra who is all set to come up with his film named, 'A Gentleman' was recently slammed on social media because of one of his tweet.
So the matter was like this he was found promoting his film in Haryana ahead of the verdict against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
After the verdict came, riots were spread in the city and many lives were taken and several were in injured.
In between of all this, Sidharth took to social media and wrote, "To all the people of Haryana, please stay safe. Hope you can see our film soon #Agentleman #PeaceAndLove," Sidharth had tweeted earlier in the day.
Posting such status ignited the people which were already in anger. So they blasted on him with tweets.
One of the users wrote "After this shameless tweet person should boycott his film,”
"This was a shameful way of promoting your film. For god sake can you get considerate," another tweet read.
After all these tweets, Sidharth has to clearly state that his thoughts and prayers are with the people affected by the riots.
He wrote, "It's really sad to see the situation worse since morning and see people in Punjab and Haryana. Love and prayers.To people who are commenting on my morning tweets, they were made before the verdict! Thoughts and prayers," he wrote.
