Mumbai : Most of the Bollywood celebrities took their time out to cast votes in the Lok Sabha Election 2019; but still some missed their right. Among the ones who did not cast their votes is Anil Kapoor.
At a recent event, Anil Kapoor explained his absence from the polling booth. "I was with my doctor in Munich kyunki yeh appointment maine 1-1.5 saal pehle li thi. Jaise ki sabko pata hai, I have this calcification in my shoulder and exactly usi din meri appointment thi. 4 din ki appointment hoti hai, toh Sunita aur main dono wahaan Munich mein the," he said.
The Fanney Khan actor added that he tried to vote while he was in Germany, but was unable to. "Humne wahaan embassy mein bhi koshish ki, magar wahaan yeh sab cheezein nahi thi, ki hum wahaan jaa kar vote kar sake. Mujhe lagta hai future mein yeh hona chahiye ki kahin bhi hum ho, kuch embassy mein jaa ke hum vote de sake. That will be very good," he added.
In March, Anil Kapoor was among the celebrities who urged people of India to cast their votes. "One vote can make all the difference. So please make it a point to vote in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for a better, brighter and stronger India! #VoteKar," he had tweeted.
