Lok Sabha Election 2019: Markets at record high as BJP leads

Mumbai : Indian markets opened at a record high on Thursday as early trends projected a massive win for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Lok Sabha Election 2019.

S&P Sensex is up 772.38 points at 39,882.59 and Nifty is trading at 11,927, up by 189 points.

The rise comes on the factor that investors are upbeat with the idea of a stable government. Although, equity markets are to be highly volatile today.

At 10 AM, the BJP was leading on over 310 seats while the Congress was leading on 105 seats.
