Los Angeles : Universal pictures have teamed up with Google Maps to promote the new picture Skull Island on the map – literally.

Yes, Google Maps have actually tagged up Skull Island online to promote the new King King movie out later this month.

It is listed as an ‘archaeological site’ and  sits just below the equator to the west of South America and near New Zealand.

In fact, the island is just a figment of imagination but has earned over 6,000 reviews with one user talking about the beauty of the site, but warning about the island’s inhabitant.

People wrote that the island itself is amazing and would in any other location be heaven on earth, a little piece of paradise.

Some added, “However, the mood quickly changes once you have your first encounter with the King himself. Kong had to be at least 100 feet tall. If you give him a chance though you quickly realize that he’s a big softy at heart and a friend. All in all, a very worthwhile experience. We’ll definitely be back.”

So what are you waiting for; go and take a look yourself!
