'Race 3' collection day 6: Salman's action flick earns Rs 8 crore
Mumbai : The Salman Khan starring ‘Race 3’ continues to bang the box office on its 6th day of release. The high octane action movie has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark and is still making money in the theatre.
Race 3 is under Remo D'Souza's direction and is the third instalment of the franchise, with Salman Khan taking the lead. , the film also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem in pivotal roles.
The film story revolves around the Singh family and how their relationship is stressed under each character’s concealed motives. The blockbuster has earned 8 crore at the ticket counter, which has taken its collection to Rs 132.44 crore in just six days, according to a report on BoxofficeIndia.com.
While many viewers find nothing special in the movie except dance and action, a few believes that Salman Khan being a brand, is the main reason behind the rush in the theatre. Despite of mixed reviews from critics and audience, the film has become a hit which has already broken several records at the box office. Salman, in an interview praised Anil Kapoor saying, "I think if there is any replacement to Mr Amitabh Bachchan, then it is Anil Kapoor" to which Anil replied saying "Thank you, Salman Khan, for your generosity! Replacing Mr Bachchan is an impossible dream. He is the only one of his kind. But I'm really honoured and humbled that you took my name in the same breath as him."
