'Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai': YouTuber Devraj Patel passes away in a road accident
Raipur : Devraj Patel, famous comedian and YouTuber, met with a fatal accident on Monday while en route to a video shoot in Raipur.
According to received information, the accident took place at approximately 3:30 pm when Patel, riding as a pillion passenger, collided with a truck near the Labhandih area within the jurisdiction of the Telibandha police station. The collision resulted in severe head and bodily injuries, ultimately leading to his tragic demise.
As per eyewitnesses Rakesh Manhar, the rider, inadvertently struck the truck, which was traveling in the same direction. The impact caused Patel, who was riding as a pillion, to be thrown under the rear wheel of the heavy vehicle. Fortunately, Manhar escaped the incident without any harm.
Following the accident, Manhar instantly called an ambulance, and Patel was rushed to a nearby hospital. The doctors at the hospital declared him dead on arrival, leaving a void in the hearts of his loved ones and admirers.
Originally from Mahasamund, the young and talented YouTuber rose to prominence through his captivating videos, with his popular creation titled "Dil se bura lagta hai" gaining substantial recognition and a dedicated fan base.
The news of Patel's demise quickly spread, drawing an outpouring of condolences from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed his grief over the loss and shared an old video of Patel on his official Twitter account. In his tweet, Mr. Baghel wrote, "Devraj Patel, who brought smiles to the faces of millions with 'Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai,' has left us today.
