Golden Globe Awards 2023: RRR's Naatu Naatu wins best original song

New Delhi : Golden Globe Awards 2023 is being held in California. The award show is a special one for India this year as the Indian movie RRR has earned two nominations - Best original song for Naatu Naatu and Best Picture. For the first time, the film has earned its Golden Globe for the year in the best original song category for Naatu Naatu.

The song has been composed by veteran music director MM Keeravaani and penned by Kaala Bhairavaa and Rahul Sipligunj.

During the award show, director SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR were present. MM Keeravaani received the award and thanked fans globally for all the love they gave to the movie and the song. He took the opportunity and also thanked SS Rajamouli for his vision. He also thanked Prem Rakshit and Kaala Bhairava, lyricist Chandra Bose and NTR and Ram Charan, who had danced with their full stamina.

Naatu Naatu had a tough fight against four other nominees in the list, including Taylor Swift's Carolina from Where The Crawdads Sing, Ciao Papa from Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, Lady Gaga's Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick' and Rihanna's Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

With the Golden Globes win, the eyes are now set on the Academy Awards final nomination list which will be out on January 24, 2023.
