Happy Birthday Trisha: What makes south queen stand out?

New Delhi : Despite being in Kollywood for 17 years, Trisha has managed to rule the hearts with the same charm. On Saturday, she turned 36-year-old.

Till date Trisha has featured in over 60 movies and recently she was a part of big hits like '96' and Rajinikanth's 'Petta'.

At an era where female leads find it hard to stay in the industry for long, Trisha stands out as she has proved her versatility over and over again.

At the early stage of her career, she gained fame with her on-screen bubbly, girl next door type of characters. She also played the damsel-in-distress convincingly in hit films like Saamy, Ghilli and Thirupaachi among others.

After making a mark and settling into the industry, she did a number of diverse projects only to emerge out as a matured actor.

As with any performer, Trisha has had her fair share of ups and downs. The actor has been part of movies that were commercial and critical failures, but Trisha always made sure she backed it up with resounding hits.
