Aamir Liaquat Hussain defies order, appears on TV show post ban
Islamabad : Controversial Pakistani TV personality Aamir Liaquat Husain defied an order that banned him from making any physical appearance on his show.
Pakistan's broadcast media regulator had banned him and his show from his TV for hate speech he made against liberal activists and others of blasphemy.
Instead of showing courtesy to the ban, he appeared on his show on Bol TV and went on to criticise the regulator's decision to take his show off the air.
As a result, Bol TV has been made off-air in several parts of the country, while at some parts it is running uninterrupted.
PEMRA said its ban will remain in place until its councils of complaints in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi make recommendations for a final decision.
