Dayaben set to return on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma: Asit Modi

New Delhi : It's been years since "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma" has been running without its one of the key characters – Dayaben, played by Disha Vakani. The makers have been trying since long to bring her back on the show, but nothing worked out till date. Her fans are also waiting to see her back on the show. And, now it looks like the wait will end soon as the producer of the show has confirmed that Dayaben will soon return; however, he did not clarify that Disha Vakani will return to the show or it will be a new face.

In a recent media interaction, Asit Modi was asked the same question he has been answering since years – When will Dayaben return to the show? Reacting to it, Mr Modi said that it is very hard to give an exact date of return, but she will soon make a comeback. He also noted that the team is trying to bring Disha Vakani back to play the iconic character but since she is prioritizing her family life right now, they are also in process to bring a new face.

He also mentioned that fans should not worry about anything, new Tappu has arrived and the same way Dayaben will also return on the show with garba and dandiya.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the longest-running comedy series on Indian television. The show is loved for its innocence and its varied characters.
