Delhi to Leh flight fares 10 times more than normal in February
New Delhi : Visiting Leh is mostly in the bucket list of travellers in India; but the only way to reach the place in the months of December, January and February is via air as the land route gets closed due to excess snowfall. Taking advantage of the situation, the single journey ticket for flights from Delhi to Leh and Leh to Delhi are costing 10 times more than the normal fare of INR 3000.
The airlines can be seen charging up to INR 30,000 for one way journey. The issue has been notified by several netizens on social media criticising how airlines are taking advantage of the situation.

MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also raised the matter in Parliament on Monday asking why airlines are charging so much money for the air travel. He also demanded government's intervention in the matter to control the hiked price.
In normal days, the airfare for Ladakh from Delhi is about INR 3,000.
