Kapil Sharma takes a break from television, promises to return soon

Mumbai : This is going to be a long week for Sony TV. Earlier Pehredaar Piya Ki show was shut and now there is news that The Kapil Sharma Show will shut, but for some days.

The news is that the show will not shut permanently but will off air for a small period of time.

According to India Today.in, the channel Sony TV has confirmed this news. Also informed that The Kapil Sharma Show will be back after a short break.

Kapil Sharma himself has confirmed this news. He stated that this is because of his ongoing health issues. Kapil said, "Yes, I am just going to rest for some days. It is just a drop of a few episodes because I cannot ignore my health at this stage when my movie is also going to release and the coming schedule is going to be more hectic. I will come back with full force. I am thankful for the channel that they allowed me and did not put any pressure,".

This year has been full of controversy for the show and for Kapil himself. And all this started with his fight with Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar on a flight. What happened next is open to all. It leads to Sunil leaving the show, following Ali Asgar, TRPs of the show went down drastically. To add to the decline, came Kapil’s health issues, which led to him canceling many shoots. Cancellation cost Kapil a lot and led to upset many celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Paresh Rawal, Shraddha Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. 

According to a source, "Kapil has been under the weather for some time now. Due to which, we have mutually agreed to take a short break. However once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting once again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery."
