Sanjeeda Sheikh gets into legal trouble
Mumbai : Sanjeeda Sheikh, the tv actress got into some trouble lately. It was found that her sister-in-law Zakerabanu Zakir Hussain Bagban has filed a case against her, including her mother Anisha Sheikh and brother Anas Abdul Rahim.
Sanjeeda’s sister-in-law Zakerabanu stated that the incident took place on May 27, when she was talking to her father over the phone, when Sanjeeda, her mother and brother started beating Zakerabanu. Zakerabanu said they did this because they didn’t want her to stay with them in their Mumbai house. Zakerabanu got back to Ahmadabad the same day and was admitted to the hospital. Later, when she was discharged on May 28, she filed a FIR against the trio.
After this, Sanjeeda’s lawyer filed a petition, asking to quash Zakerabanu’s FIR. The lawyer also counter that Zakerabanu was having a disturbed relationship with her father due to orthodox beliefs, which has led to a disturbed relationship with her husband Anas as well. All these disturbances have left her unable to adjust with the family. It was also found that Zakerabanu was not well that day and was leaving for her parent's house, while Sanjeeda was busy shooting at the time of this entire incident.
The latest news that came, in this case, brought relief to Sanjeeda on August 30, when the Ahmedabad High Court waived the service of the notice.
According to Pune Mirror, Sanjeeda’s lawyer Sunny Punamiya told, “The Hon’ble Court has passed an order in favour of my client by stating that the investigating agency should not take any coercive steps against her. In other words, the Hon’ble Court accepted our submission that the FIR is baseless, bad in the jurisdiction and merely filed to harass my client.”
